How To

How to make wood joint

This tutorial will show you how to join two pieces of wood together. We will use the "pockethole joint," which means that we drill holes in the wooden pieces and then glue them together. If your wood is straight and flat, this method will work well. You may want to consider other methods, such as dowel joining. Here are the steps

  1. Drill Pocket Hole Joints. Start by measuring and marking the spot where the pocket hole joint will be placed. Then drill 3/4 inch deep holes into the ends of each piece of wood using a jig saw or handheld drilling machine.
  2. Sand Smooth. Sanding the wood's edges will ensure that the joint doesn't split.
  3. Glue the two sides of the wood together. Apply glue to both ends of the wood. Let the wood sit for 5 minutes, then clamp it together.
  4. Secure the pieces together. After the glue has dried thoroughly, secure the pieces so that they are flush.
  5. Trim Joinery. Trim the excess wood around the joint after the glue has dried completely.

Make sure to leave enough room between the pieces so that you can turn them inside and out.
